The Bullets over Broadway snapback has many sleek references to Michael Jordan's career, the 1990's, and of course the Bulls Over Broadway Air Jordan 10's that just dropped. Michael Jordan had left the NBA to pursue a minor league baseball career in 1993 and the Bulls were devastated. In the 94-95 season, the Bulls were getting stronger and Michael Jordan realized he needed to go back and make the Bulls an all star team again. He returned, and although rusty for the first 5 games, he exploded during his first rematch at Madison Square Garden against the Knicks. He scored 55 points, a "double nickel game", and, in a brilliant performance, set up a last second dunk to win the game. Jordan was back. This hat, like the sneakers, is a tribute to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls dominating New York City, famously known for it's Broadway performances. Due to Jordan's "acting" performance on the game winning dunk assist, we named the hat "Bullets over Broadway" which was a very popular movie at the time and is currently a Broadway play, which also signifies the Broadway font that was used- you would see this font on your playbill next time you're at the theater. We put 5 bullets as a shoutout to his 55 point comeback which also ties in the "Bullets over Broadway", and of course the red to match the sneakers which is Jordan's home team color, the Chicago Bulls.
